Nursing salary??

I want to be a nurse and I'm going to go for the four-year bsn. How much do you make if you have a bsn and work at a hospital or doctor's office??

According to PayScale.com, the median salary for a Registered Nurse working in a hospital is $25.69/hour. Many factors affect Nursing salaries, however, including location and experience. To find more accurate salary data for your specific Nurse position, you can take PayScale's free salary survey. http://www.payscale.com/?src=yahooA

Hope that helps,

It varies greatly by region. In the San Francisco area, hospital nurses (RNs) start in the $42-$45 per hour range.

It really depends on where you live. I recruit for nurses--I think it's important to spend your first 2 years in a hospital (preferably in med/surg) to develop your clinical skills.

Nurses are in such demand that the market rate for nurses seems to be increasing rapidly.

Starting pay (entry level) should be anywhere from $23 - 30/hour.

Once you get your 2 years experience, you can command much higher. Depending on your needs (benefits, hours), you can earn upto $40/hour on a 3rd shift in a hospital through an agency. In some markets, it may be a few dollars lower or higher.
