In 2 months (July 4th) the good Lord willing, I'll be the big 40. LOL How can I prepare and what I expect? |
I like the 20's and 30's but the big 40 is pretty scary. The big 30 hit me. What can i expect with the big 40? ( I am still childless, and single) I thought by now I would find Mr. Right and marry with kids. I have a BSN in nursing. What's my next step after graduating 12 years ago with bs? A masters? Supervisors , mom and others are like "get your masters, get your drivers license( several unsucessful attempts) and get a car. I also did some traveling but want to do more. I am pretty financially stable and still live at home with both parents. Any suggestions?ideas? Being 40 is the new 30!! ..and ...better than the alternative right? If your happy with your life, then that's all that matters. 40 is wonderful!!! Go out and have fun, you not 60! Doing the things you enjoy the most will help you see your still young... Being 40 can be alot of fun you have the money to support quite dinner with friends, shopping spree's, expensive dinners. Go out on a date if you want, just because you think the big 4 0 is old, doesn't mean you have to act old. Go out and let you hair down!! You're not over the hill, Well I remembe when my dad turned the big 40 my mommy planed to put a sign in the yard to say Lordy lordy daniels 40 sence my dads name is Daniel . First get your own place! You are way too old to be living with parents. This is will be a major turn off to any guys. Go out and get a makeover and join a gym or another social activity where you think eligible men may be. You are still not too old to find someone and even have kids if you choose to. It sounds like career wise you have your act together but you definitely need to be out on your own at this age. This would be a red flag to any man. Be confident you can do it and you will find someone eventually if you make a few changes in your life. 40 is great, it is the new 20 they say. Not much ya can do about it,is there? Look at it this way. you will be lucky if you make it and many more after that. I just turned 40 and I promise that my head did not spin around and I didn't automatically did not wake up wearing glasses. I didn't wake up all slumped over.....I still feel the same as I did when I was in my mid 30's.....I was still the same person the morning I woke up 40 as I was when I went to be at 39. |
