What is a really nice graduation gift for a nurse? |
I want to buy a very very nice gift for someone who is going to get their BSN in 3 months, and has worked their *** off to do it. I should add that I am able to spend about $1000. or so. A stethoscope? When a close friend of mine became an RN, I bought her a very nice music box with a nurse motif. Wow, that is a lot of money you are wanting to spend. Since the bank is that big, why not buy her a vacation? If he/she worked that hard, I'd say a little rest and relaxation is in order. If you want something more substantial, take the new nurse shopping for all the scrubs and tennis shoes she wants. Being a Firefighter and an EMT, I know a ton of nurses. With a lot of nurses, even myself after I got my Medic degree, the best thing that I got was a new stethascope. They can range from $50-over $200. You can even get them customized with names on them, or gold plated, etc. That would probably be your best bet. I'd say look for deals on sale, thats what my parents did, and they work so much better than generic ones the hospitals have. And they make you look way cool around a hospital ;) . A gift certificate to a local spa. After that much hard work, they'd appreciate some relaxation First, yes, a high end stethoscope is in order. Male or female? If you don't mind letting them know about it, take them on a shopping spree for either needed items or "spoiling you only" items. Or just give them the cold hard cash if they need some bills payed off. It depends on if you want them to get a little spoiled. New clothes, spa time, club membership at a fitness center or something they enjoy, the list goes on. Or take them on a trip somewhere. Thanks for being such a good friend to the Nurse!!!! They all need friends like you!!!!! |
