BSN Major & Pre med program?

I am not sure if I want to become a nurse or a doctor when I grow up. Can I major in Science of Nursing and do the pre-med program?

yep, you can major in nursing and then decide to go to medical school. in fact you can major in engineering or any other major including arts. The only difference is that you may have to take some extra courses because medical schools these days are coming up with must have courses example calculus, histology, biochemistry etc.
Diversity in educational background can be a positive for getting into medical school so a different major can be a big plus. Few caveats here: pick out a medical school that you would potentially go to. Go to their website and find out what their requirements are, then make sure to incorporate these courses into your undergraduate. When it comes down to it, gpa, MCAT and volunteer experience will take you places that a mere pre-med major degree couldn't take you

Well, guess what? You can actually earn a PhD in nursing, so you would be both a nurse and a doctor at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. I am a nurse, but with the liability being so high, the pay, nor the physical and mental demands are worth loosing everything I have, to be a floor nurse again. Too many lazy and dumb nurses in the work force these days. If you do become a nurse, always remember three words, "I don't remember," and to always chart everything. Will save your butt in the event of a lawsuit :)
