Doctors, nurses, radiologists? |
I had an IVP several hours ago, and now I am all of a sudden burning up. What is causing it, is this normal? Thanks for any input? Emergency Department now! Sounds like an allergic reaction to the contrast (dye).. Have some one drive you, or call 911... Stop reading and do this now! You need to call the clinic immediately! You could be having a reaction to the contrast. I sincerely hope you don't have an infection. If your fever gets worse, or you start to feel light headed or dizzy, I'd suggest making your way to emerg. I've posted a site with a little bit of information about IVP for you to peruse, but I didn't see anything on there that talks about your symptoms. You need to be seen in the ER or urgent care clinic in case you are having an allergic reaction to the contrast dye. These reactions can range from minor to severe and life threatening, so it is always better to be checked out. |
