Two membranes in pregnancy, and one baby? |
I have a burning question- that I intend to ask my OB/GYN when I see here again, but until then, I will ask you all! I know for sure it was my water breaking when I went to the hospital, and the nurses believed so too! The doctor and the nurses did tell me I had two membranes- I just never wondered why until now! It's possible that your water never broke and that you were just losing your mucus plug and you thought it was your water breaking. Also, your water may have broken, but it may have been a slow leak. Usually the sac shrinks and shifts to the sides or top during delivery, but sometimes gets stuck around the baby's head which is also known as a caul. |
