Please help need advice?

Ok well I think I have some kinda vaginal infection or rash the thing is I already tried to call and request a doctors appointment so my doctor could take a look but the nurse was so rude and told me just to buy anti itch cream and some yeast infection cream from the store. I explained I wanted to know for sure what it was before I bought anything cause last time I thought I had a yeast infection I bought the monistat cream and it burned my vagina like hell I litereally had river of tears comeing down my face and was shaking really really bad. And I told her I didn't want to go threw that again if I don't have a yeast infection. Well she just said to take a bath with warm water and blah blah blah so I just hung up. It eventually went away but now its back and I really want to know whats wrong what should I do? Should I just call and say "Can the Dr. look at my vagina on my next check up"(witch is Aug.9) And not give them a reason why, or ................................

Just go to the appointment and just be like "um hey do you mind checking out the vagina been having some issues with it"(that to me kinda seems rude what if he has a busy schedule and then I just say out of no where to look at my vagina with no warning I guess). What would you do

Wow, I would definitely try and get your doctor check it out. I agree with you I wouldn't want to go through that with the over the counter medication again. That is very strange the nurse handled it that way. Would it be possible to go to another doctor? I know that would not be fun going to a stranger for someting like this...but you def. need to find someone who is gonna care enough to check it out! It could be something different than just a yeast infection, you never know. I would really pursue the doctor, and let them know what is going on beforehand. It has to be miserable living with that, and I wouldn't want to wait that long to get it checked out myself. Good luck to you, and if you have to, find a better doctor.

There are doctors who specialize in women's health. They are called OBGYN's. This is the type of doctor you will want to make an appointment with. He/she will check out your problem and give you a prescription for it. I don't know who your doctor is, but the nurse shouldn't be telling you to get anything over the counter until you have been diagnosed. Those over the counter creams are only for women who have been diagnosed and know what to look for. August 9th is too far away, look up OBGYN's in your area and make an appointment, tell them your symptoms and they should get you in right away.

I would call back and tell them, tell them I think I have an infection, I do not know what it is and I want to see the doctor. If you get the same idiot, tell her I want to speak to your supervisor, then raise hell about how rude she was to you. And remind the idiot you are paying her salary! And you have no problem calling patient relations on how you were treated.
