Dr or nurse?11 month old baby and red bumps? |
Hello, it sounds like infant acne, although this usually resolves itself in the first few months of life. Maybe your baby is allergic to something he's eating. I don't think you need to take him to the ER, but I would take him to the pediatrician. I wouldn't put anything on his skin until someone tells you what it is. Good Luck. If they are in small groups it could be ringworm, or hand foot mouth disease.( I know disease sounds horrible, that's just the name) I would make another appointment maybe with a different doctor. Good luck. I would have the Dr look at it again. It sounds like contact dermatitis. Are you using a new detergent or soap for bathing.? He could be allergic. well i would first get a new pediatrician...if it is not bothering your child it might not be something bad.it could be an allergic reaction to something he ate or drank...or if you breast feed something you ate or drank...it also could be the type of detergent you use to wash your clothes...i would deff take him some where else to get a second opinion:) you need to take the baby to the er,when was your babys last shot and what shot did your baby have .please respond It could be a food allergy.Did he have anything new around the time the rash began? Or new laundry detergent, fabric softener, soap, etc? I wouldn't put anything on it or go to ER.If you can't identify an allergan try a dermatologist. try switching you washing soap and dryer sheets. Maybe that's what's causing him to break out ?Or have you introduced him to a new food or drink? could me infant acne, could be eczema or even heat rash from over dressing I am not a doctor but a mother and I would take my baby to see another doctor and then if they still do not know go to a pediatric dermatologist. Your doctor should have referred you to one if she did not know what it is. A mother does not want to hear that the doctor does not know and that is that. Sounds like she is not considering how you feel too. The ER is not the place to go. ER's specialize in trauma etc. A pediatric physician sees more of what your baby has. Statistics say that a baby is more likely to be misdiagnosed at an ER. just for the simple fact that they do not treat children as often. It probably is not serious but you do need to follow up. |
