Have you ever used Diflucan (Fluconazole) while breastfeeding to cure trush on your breast?

My baby had very stubborn thrush in his mouth. He took Fluconazole himself for only 3 days and the thrush was gone. But my nipples are very infected - bright red, burning and painful. I tried Nystatin cream, baby refused to nurse. Now my doctor prescribed Fluconazole for me and repeated 5 times that it is OK to take it while breastfeeding. But even on the medecine itself it's written "DO NOT TAKE IF BREASTFEEDING" - probably because I'm taking a bigger dose and it goes into the milk.
Have you ever take it?
Did you see any side effects?
Was the baby OK?

i am taking diflucan now, no there is no harm to your baby, if there was your ob would not give it to you. If you are concerned talk to your ob or to your lactation consultant. Continue to take the medicine

PAINFULL HUH? I HAD THIS!! IF YOUR SON WAS TREATED PRIOR TO YOU BEING TREATED HE WILL LIKELY HAVE TO BE TREATED AGAIN AS YOU BOTH HAVE TO BE TREATED AT THE SAME TIME. IVE BEEN PROSCRIBED THE CREAM FOR MY NIPPLES AND DIDNT HAVE NO SIDE EFFECTS! BEST OF LUCK
