I want to switch jobs. Not sure if it's the right move.?

I've been a nurse at one hospital for almost 10 years and I am not happy there. The only reason I stay is because I have friends there and I'm pretty comfortable with the routine. The money's not bad.( we never got a raise this year though) This other hospital is offering a higher base rate, 401k and probably better benefits. I know my own answer but I don't want to burn any bridges. Just wanted a little insight. Oh and the job I would take would be ER/ICU whereas I'm just ICU right now.

when u are not satisfied by the job u are in then, call it off.whatever u do in life should be enjoyed to the fullest and this is applicable to ur work as well.first be sure that u have a vacancy open for ur dream post in a hospital for which u were longing..then just quit ur present job..u will find friends everywhere..and those whom u have made here will be urs forever..friendship never ends it just grows stronger and stronger with time.best of luck!!!

Go for what you are happy!!! and what you feel! From my experience this is the best solution ;)

if your not happy take the other job! you don't want to be somewhere where your not happy

I take the other job. Provided you will be happier there. I would say stay where you are because of your senority, but in your field you don't have to worry about a lay off.

Go for it, you are not happy where you are right now, besides in this new place you are going to be making a lot more money 401k is better, you are going to learned more, meet more people ( probably nicer people ). ... what else can you ask for ..

CONGRATULATIONS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
