Question about what to do about birth control:?

when me and my husband first got together we wanted a baby right away, so no birth control, we got pregnant, had a mc, then got pregnant again, had a little girl two months ago....Now its time for bc. my midwife wouldn't give me the shot b/c of my history of depression w/ the mc, I can't take any other hormone b/c I am nursing. I don't want IUD cuz the thought of it scares me (too many bad storys). So my mid wife suggested natural family planning, but untill I stop nursing and begin a regular cycle we were supposed to use condoms. The problem is the second we put it on him, he goes soft, cuz he says he can't feel anything. I bought the sponge, but he says that it rubs and irritates his "tip", I bought suppository spermicide, but it kinda burns inside of me and him. I con't risk getting pregnant again yet........what do I do, I'm going crazy!!!

my doctor said that the diaphram (sp?) is pointless cuz it only has a 90% efficiancy rating. And I really can't take the pill cuz I am too forgetfull, I have a hard enough time with my prenatal vitamin (and I have all day to remember to take that!) and would never remember to take it on time every day

Congrats I just had a little boy 2 months old. I am taking bc and nursing but it is a special low dosage call micro something I don't have the pack with me but it's great I have been on them since I was discharged from the hospital. The only thing with them is you have to take it everyday at the same time no exception due to the fact that it is a very low dosage and you can get pregnant if you miss a dose. A good thing is they don't have the period pills most bc pills have. So you don't get a period. Now I always had problems remembering to take my pills in the past but this time I set my cell phone to give me a reminder ring everyday at 8pm and I take my pill bathe my newborn and I am on a schedule for my pill and the baby's bed time

Try a diaphram, or the small pill...I cant remember the name but it doesnt contain all the nasty hormones, my friend is breastfeeding on it and she's doing fine =)

These condoms are the best out there, i think, they are the thinest, smoothest i have ever tried. Closest thing to nothing at all.

If by, "the shot" you mean depo-provera, they put me on it (with a history of depression) and it was not a problem at all....the weight gain was however.
How about nuva-ring? It delivers the hormones direct, so there is no systemic introduction.
