Mothers only please...I breastfed, my son is now 3 1/2 and I still get the sensation of milk coming in.?

When you are nursing and you can tell when your milk has come in or its time to nurse you have that somewhat burning feeling and your breasts get full. My daughter is 6 and my son is 3 1/2 now and I haven't nursed him for 3 years but last week I started to notice that I get that burning sensation and my breasts are very tender to the touch. I am not lactating, but I seemed to notice this morning when I got in the shower that my breasts look a tad bit larger. I went from a 36c to a 34a after nursing and I wondered if anyone else thought maybe it was possible that now they are "coming back"? Has anyone ever had this happen to them. I have had a tubal so I know for sure that I am not pregnant. I have an appointment at my Gyno for something else next week so I am planning on asking him but I wanted other mothers perspectives on this. Although if they come back I wish they would come back as 36d's. Hee hee. Just a dream I think we have all had at one time or another. Thanks

I breastfed 3 children and my youngest is now 5. I also get that sensation sometimes, usually right before my period, but not every time. Hubby and I are both still fertile, so makes me wonder sometimes until my period starts! I know breastfeeding changes the structure of the breast (decreases our chance of breast cancer too!) and maybe that makes them more sensative to hormonal changes in the future. I'd give you some extra if I could! I've always been well endowed, but the first time my milk came in, I just looked at them and thought oh my....

You don't know for sure that you're not pregnant. Sometimes they come undone and you can get pregnant again. Better check on that one!

weellll hes to old to be breastfed. I heard putting cabage on them (boobs) help .i tried it and it works

Sometimes I get the sensation of let-down, or that tingly feeling that you're talking about, but I haven't nursed my son in over a year and a half. I'm so glad to hear I'm not the only one!

As for your breasts being larger, it could simply be a little water weight from the holidays.

Hope this helps!

I think you have a valid concern, and would recommend that you see your gyno regarding this. I too breast fed my daughter but had the opposite affect. I was 36c now 38d.
Good luck with your concern.
