Are me and my daughter of a year old in serious danger?

Ive had Genital warts since I was 19 (never a reoccurance since the nurse burnt them off)
And A Nurse(of all people) gave me herpes, after we were kissing. I accidentally had unprotected sex one time for like 3minutes when we were drunk(go figure).
All the other times I wore protection and she wasnt broke out.
That was all it took.
She talked a bunch of crap(marriage etc.), she was beautiful, then one day for no apparent reason, BLAM! We were done.
I was left cold hearted lost and 5 years after being with my current fiance'(whos loyal, she has no time to not be) Blam! an outbreak.
I knew what it was and where it came from.
We almost split after being together for four years.
We now have a daughter now, she was delivered vaginally(even after my fiance' informed the doctors of my situation.)
She is healthy and no signs of std's....But Im still worrying about her and I.
I Have no insurance and dont treat my outbreaks with pills.(I use alternative medicines)Am I at risk for death?

Racheal missed the point an JBABY's an insincere idiot.
My GF doesnt have anything.

Maybe your girlfriends left you because you gave them STDs. Just go get checked out. You should get checked every 6 months if you are in relationships and having one night stands.

maybe go to the doctor

nope the chances are less then 15 percent, so no worries, but i think u learned from ur mistake by worrying so much.

You wont die, but your daughter might have herpes.

maybe. but it is a good idea to get insurance and go to the doctors once every 2 weeks to get it checked out.

well u just have to cut down on the unhealthy stuff if you want to see your daughter grow up

no im pretty sure that genital warts don't cause death.
your daughter may be more likely to get warts on her ovaries though, so when she is older just ensure that she has regular pap-smears. I don't think you need to worry but speak to a doctor about it.

wow what a good story you have their.

noo not death. but you'll always be at risk for an outbreak and you will always be able to transfer it to someone else. im surprised they let your gf deliver vaginally due to the circumstances but i would always keep a close eye on your daughter and yourself. just take care of yourself from here on out and be careful!! watch your daughter too, but no, your not going to die.

Doesn't sound like you need to worry. I would forget about the alternative medicine though.

You are in a big risk since you don't know exactly what kind of an STD do you have. I know that it might cost quite the amount of money, but you really need to go to the doctor and get both you and your daughter checked. At this point, you need to put your priorities in order...and I believe that it's the health of you and your daughter which you should worry about instead of money.

It's better to be safe than sorry.

Good luck.

I highly suggest contacting Planned Parenthood. They offer services to men and they can help you with getting the pills you need. Click the link and type in your zip code and you can then contact your local office.

Herpes is not a deadly STD. There are numerous complications that a person can suffer, however. Including painful lesions. You are even at risk for blindness related to this disease.

You need to see about insurance or talk to someone at your local health department about antiviral medications which will help alleviate symptoms and should decrease outbreaks.

If your girlfriend told her ob about the herpes and he still delivered vaginally, then it is very, very likely that your girl has not been infected and if she has been the baby can still be delivered safely (though it is not recommended) if the mother is not currently suffering an acute outbreak of lesions.

Your baby should be fine. Be very careful with your girlfriend and take care of yourself.

go to the doctor or something

No your baby and g/f should be fine.

But you should seek counselling regarding your obsessively bitter feelings toward your ex.

All the judgemental stuff about her, and you don't even treat your own outbreaks? Modern medicine would mean you hadn't put your kid and wife at risk.

Your ex did not invent herpes, and showed more consideration to you than you do to your own family.

Get it treated properly and quit the hypocricy!

its okay im in the same boat as you
look it is only a problem when u have a breakout when u had her it is not transmitted any onther way then a breakout so if u had no brekouts wich u probably diddnt then she doesnt dont worry i had the same thing its really not a bigger deal as what u think NO SORE then NO PROBLEM

The virus can cause some serious pain but I dont think you're at risk for death b/c its untreated. The lesions usually go away on their own anyway. However, here are some home remedies for you to try since you dont have insurance(go to your local health dept and they should give u some meds or help you get some at a reasonable price)

Baking soda. Using a cotton ball, pat baking soda on the sores to dry them out and decrease itching. Just be careful not to double dip: You don't want to contaminate the unused baking soda.

Cornstarch. This also can help dry out the sores and help alleviate itching. Use a cotton ball that's been dipped in cornstarch and dust it onto the sores.

Food. Eat well to boost your immune system.

Peppermint Tea. A nice cup of peppermint tea may help reduce pain and fever.
Tea. Place a cold wet tea bag right on the sores. Tannic acid can soothe genital tissues. Throw away the tea bag afterward.

Home Remedies from the Freezer

Ice. To reduce pain and itching, apply ice to the sores. Fill a plastic bag with crushed ice or use a bag of frozen peas. Wrap the bag in material the thickness of a sheet. Apply for 10 or 15 minutes, and repeat several times a day. Be careful about the time because prolonged exposure to ice can cause tissue damage.

Home Remedies from the Refrigerator

Milk. For pain relief and to promote healing, soak cotton balls in milk and apply to the area.
