Help! I have both my lips are covered in blisters, and even a little bit inside them. They itch and burn.?

What are they? I have never had this before! They began to appear on my upper lip last friday, and a nurse told me it was maybe because of stress, but after 2 days they dissapeared, now both my lips are covered in tiny blisters, that I'm sure are not cold sores because I get those and they feel and look different. What do I do? What are they? I'm 13 and my mom said she had no time to take to the hospital tomorrow..I'm scared! My lips seemed dry and were burning a little earlier and I put on some vaseline and then they got worse!!

You said you are sure it is not cold sores, that would rule out herpes too... Try using "Zilactin ointment" which is available over the counter at any drug store. Zilactin will relieve the burning right away, and your sores should clear up within 3-5 days. Use separate q-tips to apply the ointment directly to each of the sores, and avoid spreading the problem). I am not a doctor but I have had very good personal results with Zilactin for my cold sores, and everyone I have recommended Zilactin too had positive results for many different types of external mouth sores. Why are you asking us computer jockeys and not the doctor

Those are cold sores. You can get those from fevers, stress, and being out in the cold. Sometimes the wind dryes up your lips so much that cold sores come out. The best thing there is for that is Abreva right now. Also Blistex is one that I use to prevent cold sores from coming out and its very soothing on my lips

get a friends parent to take you...or a relative at the very least. try drinking lots of water and try NOT to lick your lips

Ok kiddo, If you have kissed someone recently, or engaged in a sexual function it could be herpes and you need to see a doctor. (This is the worse case)

The not so worse case is that you are having an allergic reaction of some kind. This as well needs to be seen by a doctor.

It's called HSP1. Go get some Abrevia and wash your hands every time you get the chance to.
