What's the best way to not burn out? I get stressed/depressed easily...? |
How can a person not burn out from all the stress of daily life...I want to go into the medical field possibly (Nursing/Pre-Medical) or the Computer Science field, but I don't want to burn out from all the stress that goes along with it. Help or suggestions? First of all, it is entirely possible that your stress is sending you a message about your life choices. A computer geek is a radically different person than most people in the medical field, personality-wise. In either field, you must have the aptitude ("made by God") to do those jobs, otherwise you have no business trying to do them. Could it be that the stress is telling you that one or both are the wrong choices? Grow up, relax. There are mental health exercise that one can do to keep one from working in profession one enjoy and ot burnt out. Most people in the profession that you named do not burn out. Some of these exercises include know about oneself, ones feelings, while at work in stressful situations (taking breaks, drink water regularly), other regular routines include exercise of any kind, talk to family and friends, find a spiritual path, but never drugs. |
