I want to find out how many calories I burn on the job, I am a nurse. Any idea how I figure this out?


So I am always walking from one end of the hall to the other getting supplies.
I am standing in place for about 90 minutes a day passing pills.
30 minutes a day charting on the computer. I don't have any idea how to figure this out?!?!? I know it will very from day to day, but I am just looking for a "rough estimate" number I can chart in my calorie counter guide. Thanks!

I am a nurse too and your schedule sounds just like mine!!
I think i have heard of calorie counters that you can wear on your wrist or some part of your body that calculates how many calories your burning..if you find one ,put it on when you get to work and take it off when your done!! hope this helps

You might invest in a Pedometer. You can get them everywhere now days. They are not entirely accurate but since you are just looking for a rough estimate, it should answer your question.

One mile is approx 2000 steps.
