Women with daughters only? |
My daughters 11, she is usally really happy put her moods been down the past year or so.5 girls in her class have gotten her peirod, and I do her landry so I noticed that for the past year shes been getting discharge.Last week (tuesday) she went to camp, it was sleep away and she got sick, complaining of belly cramps. A nurse checked her out and said that when young girls her age start to feel that it could be a sign that she could get her peirod in a month or so.This week shes also gotten a lot of extra dishcharge, should I be on peirod look out? oh I forgot to mentian that shes really behind on breast devopment (atleast thats what she tells me) Shes a really tiny 11 year old and shes concered that she "only at stage two" 11 is the time when things will start changing for a young girl- of course her moods have been down the past year or so! their hormones are going out of wack, and they're not little kids anymore. Appearance all of the sudden seems to matter now. All the girls have started gossiping. Things are changing- physically and emotionally. I'm 16- i remember all this! Yes, she should probably be starting soon. And make sure that you don't "pry" too much. I used to get SO MAD when my mom would constantly nag "did you start yet?" Or mention anything about my hormones. I think just because it's such a personal thing. But I'm sure she'll tell you when she starts. The first year or so, her flow will be REALLY heavy. So be prepared to be washing lots of sheets, pants, and undergarments. Good luck! You mean you don't remember when you were 11?Why not take her to a dr and end the stress for both of you. YES AND BE PREPAIRED LOL HAVE THE PADS OR TAMPONS AND THE PAMERIN READY yes i could..! cause that how a person knows shes gettin her period! Yes and explain, if you haven't already, that it's a natural passage in life and nothing to be afraid of. you betcha....do her a favor and have some pads at the house for her so she doesn't have to embarrassingly ask you to go get some when her peiod starts. be open with her about it and offer to answer any questions she might have...not awkward, just open. YES, AND SO SHOULD SHE, IF YOU HAVENT TALKED TO HER YET, NOW IS THE TIME. ALSO THEY MAKE A MILD MYDOL FOR GIRLS JUST STARTING THAT WOULD HELP HER WITH THE CRAMPS AND STUFF. my daughter is 12 and she has not received her period yet either My daughters not at that point yet...THANK GOD! But I have a 13 yr old niece whose like a daughter to me. She just started her period a year ago. and still complaining abiut the "lack of boobs". Keep an eye out and make sure you talk to your daughter about telling you if anything happens. Dont depend on her laundry. I started at 11 and didnt tell my mom for a month I just hid the underwear or threw them away cause I was embarassed. My daughter is 11 alos and she has been having all the same symptoms. i took her to the doctor and she said that they usually don't get their periods til 6 months after underarm hair develops. The mood swings will just continue becasue she is a girl.lol. I would keep a lookout and keep the communication open with your daughter. Take her for a complete physical to allieviate your worries. i didnt develope until i was 15 and i didnt get my period til then....and i turned out fine.she will too, It sure sounds like it to me.........hopefully you have already had the talk with her. I have 3 daughters and my baby is now 10 1/2 and I am just waiting for her to tell me she got her period. I had the talk with her a year ago Please exuse me: NO FRIGGIN DUH. As you probably remember this is an intensely emmotional time for her so talk to her openly and honestly (not the 3rd degree)trll her what to expect and that all girls go through it in thei own time and keep supplies on hand in the bathroom where she canget to them and make sure she knows how to use them and relax if you are stresses she will think there is something bad you are not telling her see you pediatician hope this helps Gorbalizer |
