OK, I had a stroke or a seizure while working at a great hospital, I was told that I would need to ask for a?

leave of abscence so I could have a complete workup with both a neurologist and a cardiac care specialist(mind you I work on the the telemetry cardiac unit as a nursing assistant)
My neurologist said she wouldn't sign my leave forms because it sounded like a heart problem, and my primary care thinks it is an MS flareup(did I mention I have Multiple Sclerosis which is in remission)
Regardless, They gave away me job. No doctor approved my leave, but the gave up my job. Is this legal? Please help me. The hospital is avoiding me. I have offered to take whatever shift they can accomodate me with, even though they never should have given away my job.
DOCTORS,LAWYERS,NURES,HUMAN RESOURCE PERSONNELL PLEASE PLEASE HELP ME! I AM A GREAT WORKER, I HAVE HAD NO COMPLAINTS< AND I WORK MY BUTT OFF. THIS IS IN MEDFORD<MASS if that helps with the legal issues. Thanks so much for helping me.

Do you belong to a union? If so, talk to your shop steward. If not, you might need to get a contract lawyer to examine your contract and see exactly what your rights are at this point.
Sounds like a raw deal.....

Go to the phone book and look for a lawyer that deals with the American Disabilities Act. I hate to point you in that direction but if what you are saying is factual, no they can not do that. Best regards, and fight it with all you have.
