Anyone go to planned parenthood for prenatel care when preggo? |
if so what did they do for you? my appointment is tomorrow...i had to go to planned parenthood because the OBGYN wanted 200 up front :( also, how much did you need to pay for prenatal care I don't know what you are talking about. Planned parent hood doesn't do prenatal. You probably made an appointment for a pregnancy test. You need to find an ob-gyn. what are u talking about It has been a while, but when I went they basically do all the things any other OBGYN would do, blood test, urine test all that. Fist appointments always take forever they want to know everything your last menstrual, your gynecological history, ( previous pregnancy's and what not), a physical exam, urine test, blood test. Also I don't know if they still do this but after so many months I had to go to a different doctor because they only treat you so far. The best thing to do would be to go to the appointment, and then go apply for Medicaid!! Make sure that you get something from planned parenthood stating that you are pregnant because you will need it, but it usually does not take that long to get approved. Then you can get your records from planned parenthood transferred, to another OBGYN of your choosing. This is also a good idea if you are a high risk like me! Best of luck to you hun! i did b/c i was on medicaid on your first appt you will have a pelvic and a pregnacy test and try to estabish a due date whether it be calculations by your last menstral period or by ultrasound. they can help you fill out medicaid insurance form or can use what most of them cal the sliding scale or income scale... the less you make the less you have to pay so be sure to bring along a form of income proof. good luck and congrats Planned Parenthood does not do pernatal care, you need to find an OBGYN, apply for state health insurance. |
