Does Bush care about the troops?

Bush has also cut soldier pay and family pay. He has not worked to secure proper equipment for the troops. He has extended their rotations to absurd lengths because he won't sacrifice by pushing for a draft. Now he is ordering seriously wounded and disabled troops back to Iraq. He is also refusing to allow Congress to uphold the will of the people and withdraw the troops from a hopeless mission because he doesn't want to.

If that is caring about the troops, it's hard to imagine what the alternative would look like.

Bush is a coward and could care less about the troops.
He cares about securing the oil for the major American oil companies in this country. Who now control less then 12% of the known reserves. i.e. They won't be making fortunes in the near future.

Its all about money and oil. Bush wouldn't piss on a veteran if they were on fire.

Maybe you should post questions bashing the entire government, Nancy. Bush will be gone from the office in another year, yet you continue to post your hate-filled questions like it will make a difference in anything.

Sure he cares about the troops, but the problem is that he and his administration are more concerned about the corportization of oil interests in the Middle East and spreading free markets throughout the world. Unfortunately for them, this is short-sighted and ineffective and a lot of our soldiers are dead. The only thing that has been accomplished is the de-stabilization of the region. That opens up a whole mess of complication for the next several decades.

Obvoiusly he does not. otherwise, he would not have made them "war veterans" in the first place.

He cares more about looking 'compassionate'.

You have to remember that he had his chance to fight in Vietnam and he did what Cheney et al did, he found a clever way out.

Talk is cheap.....he can vow to care but his actions speak otherwise. He had a photo opportunity. Why do you think he would not lie about caring....he lied to get them there in the first place. He will also lie to keep them there. How do you know when Bush is lying.....his mouth is moving.

No he does not care about them at all, and he will not do any thing to help them it is up to you, me, and any one else who is willing to help to make sure they get what they need. He won't!!!

Notice how he never visited or even allowed camera's into the areas of concern at Walter Reed. I'm sure there is some logic to hiring a Croney's private firm to perform the services there with 1/4 the staff in hopes they would employ same work ethic as the fired and laid-off unionized Federal employees. Will see how much he cares when he gets his chance to pass the proposed funding Bill that gives the Troops EVERY NICKEL THEY NEED AND THEN SOME!!
