I am 18 years old and i am in Foster care? |
i am 18 years old and in foster care my foster care and i plan on moving in with my boyfriend who is 24 well i am moving in with him in December but lately my foster mom has made me come home at 9 30 should i move out there sooner no dont move out sooner... even though its foster care dont just jump at the first chance of moving out! how do you know that your going to stay with him? how do you know he wont use you? how do you know that he wont throw you back out? then what?? youre back out on the streets!! think about your decision... make sure you have both feet mounted on the ground before you make a decision like that... make sure you have a A-plan and a B-plan... but just remember MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICE!!! Have you been emancipated from cps custody yet take your time why would you move from one persons house to anothers you should be able to get your own house soon why dont you do that first then slowly move in with him you could sublet your apt and you will always have a place to go You're 18, it's your choice because you're an adult. But you should learn to punctuate and be able to form a sentence if you plan on making it in the real World. Does this guy have a job? Has he ever been in jail or prison? Is he a nice guy or an asshat loser? Let me get this straight....you want to move out sooner because your foster mom is making you come home at 930?? probably because you feel like she is still treating you like a child. You are 18 now and are considered to be an adult. I say do what you feel is right. If your planning on moving me in December anyway then just move in now. Just remember that you cant blame your foster mom for decisions that you make. But you sound responsible enough to do it on your own. I moved out when I was 18. I don't know of any law that says you can't. If you are 18 years old you can do what you want to do and make your own decisions -clear it with your case worker first and get the correct paper work done first! |
