Can a person lose their promotable status under a flag for family care plan besides failure of pt/weight?

i thought that if you were promotable you just can't advance to the next rank
i've been hearing both yes and no maily no but i can't find it

so if i'm a spc(p) and i would of made cutoff then if i made sgt then i wouldn't be a sgt or i'll just be a spc.?

You are correct if you are flagged you are unable to advance in rank. However if you are an E-5 without WLC and are flagged they can drop you. Same with an E-6 if you and BNOC. I hope this helps some.
