Will hillary be succesful in getting her health care plan passed?

A better question is will this recent promise get her elected ? This won't pass as long as Shrub has veto power over it. It is not the duty of the American taxpayers to cover health costs for those that don't take care of themselves. Many need it and many don't deserve it. Due to such, politicians will milk this issue out for all its worth and then once elected in, or re-elected, they will drop it.

The health care system in the US is like a fully loaded supertanker. Even if you swing the rudder full over, the boat will not react swiftly.

If her plan kicks in sometime in the next four years, it will be 10 years before we really see any significant changes.

Her plan is to force everyone to have health insurance. If you meet the federal guidelines for not earning enough, then the government will subsidies you. If not then you will still be forced to buy it on your own. Just like you have to buy car insurance.

If Republicans control Congress no. If Democrats control Congress yes, with minor modifications.

I'd feel a lot better about it if she was not taking campaign funds from insurance companies, the biggest lobbyists against Univ. health care.

Hopefully so. Most of the republicans here will take their own idea of what she wants to pass and attack that rather than her actual plans, but universal health care is one of the things we most need in this country, and will save us a lot of money in the long run.

healthcare YES. HIllary NO! I lost faith in hillary once i felt she crossed over with "good ol' Joe" to the dark side. She is about as good a choise as Bush IMO.

I'd take Obama or Dennis 10:1 over her. Dennis or Mike Gravel actually would be the best choises. too bad they can't pull it off. sucks!
