Why do people think that just because you have a health care plan? |
that it mean you have automatic acceptance and you can afford anything you might need medically. Even with health plans you have deductibles, premiums, co-pays. So alot of people who have health insurance still have to be very selective about when they go to the doctor. Isn't that the truth!! are you venting or is there an honest question in here somewhere. WOW. Post that pic where we can see a bigger version. You look hot. It鈥檚 funny that you say that because people think that a prescription card is a credit card that they do not have to pay back! I鈥檓 not sure why people are under the impression that medical treatment should be free? Maybe it鈥檚 just as simple as they feel it鈥檚 owed to them. After all most of us grow up hearing that there isn鈥檛 a price tag on the value of a human being! Yeah they need to read the terms of the policy which they don't do. However the way companies are always changing coverage they provide their employees, what might be covered today won't be covered tomorrow. You have to take that into account as well. So your point is that it's not worthwhile to have health insurance? Sorry if your plan doesn't cover everything, but it's certainly better than having no coverage. Or is this some contorted argument against a gov't health plan -- that it wouldn't cover everything? Again something is better than nothing, especially if the plan covered major medical needs. Not to mention many healthcare plans that middle class folks can afford have limits on procedures. Today we hear about the heart scans and body scans that aren't covered by insurance-seems good heathcare is mostly for those in upper income levels. I know of several people(middle class not poor) who died within a couple months of learning they had cancer-because they weren't given the tests they should have had-too expensive and not covered by insurance. I know of two cases where the people made over $200,000 a year-both went to special research centers & both lived. The best plan is to hope nothing really bad ever goes wrong... Even with insurance ,health care is expensive. Just because you have it doesn't even guarentee they will cover it. And you're right.....the deductables and premiums and co-pays can get steep. When I did have insurance I never got to the point where they actually did ever cover anything. Your statement is understood, America needs reform and I am still waiting for the Clinton's free health insurance plan for all Americans that Bill ran with to get the votes long ago. It is a shame we can spend and give away billions on and to other nations and war and weapons but can't care for our own public. |
