Hillary's Health Care Plan?

I see a lot of neocon posters--and politicians--ranting about Hillary Clinton's health care plan.
Now--here's the prolem with that:

1)The health care system needs reform
2) So far, we've yet to see any alternatives from the right--just complaints about Democratic proposaals
3) People need health care--and DO NOT CARE about your ideology or political agenda
4)Therefore, if the neoconservatives don't like Hillary's plan, they are going to have to come up with concrete suggestions. Not ideological rants. Not political solgans. Real ideas.

Or--resighn yourselves to an expanded role for the government in the nation's health care system.

Any takers?

"Texican"--so far you are the only one who actually made a suggestion (technically, it's called tort reform). And its a good one.

That's my point--so far every other answer was nothing but political rhetoric.

Want to reform healthcare? Fine, put a limit or allow judges leeway to limit malpractice awards.

Lawyers are driving doctors out of business and medical costs up.

Also, people who have no private insurance can still make a trip to the county hospital and get treatment. The only requirement is they have to get off their butts and make the trip. And no amount of legislation can make them get off their butts; they have to do that themselves.

So since the health care system needs reform we should just do something just for the sake of doing something, even if it's a bad plan? Shortsighted and irresponsible..........

I'm still waiting for Hillary to come up with a detailed plan to leave Iraq. If that's what is most important to her as evident by how much she has flip flopped on it, than she would have brought that plan, not a healthcare plan..

Sure we need reform, but if you let the dems do it, we'll be right back where we started. Like we are now with Social Security. Which was passed by FDR a dem. Don't get me wrong, I like FDR, but you got to think long term with these social issues. Don't jump in head first. duh

The reform we need is to allow individuals to make their own plans.

You forgot to mention the 110 billion dollars per year that will be required to finance this fiasco. And that is just a minimum amount you know that don't you? Where is all this money coming from, your wallet and mine.

I agree it needs reform. But i dont think her plan is the way to go.....

.... But if they also need MAJOR welfare reform.... Because there are so many americans sucking money out of the states, and federal government that COULD BE out working earning their own way..... ( and these people pay nothing for their healthcare.......)

If they can make a senior citizen pay over 100.00 a month ( per person) plus co pays on their drugs.... Plus 20% of all medical they should people on welfare too..... Seniors cant work.... but the others CHOSE not too....... Life shoud not a FREE ride

I agree with giving low cost or free health care to the kids, but the adults could work for it... or atleast pay a co pay like medicare does...

When the government runs healthcare quality of care goes down..... They are taking choices away from the dr. It needs to stop.....

Get your health care, free health care, step right up and get your free morphine drip. Ladies and Gentlemen, boys and girls, don't be shy, step right up and get your free morphine drip. Need back surgery, need a new liver, is depression bringing you down, Well stop worrying, Hillary's New Medical Advantage Plan can help. Free health care for all, you just wait, and we will get you your morphine drip as soon as your health problems have deteriorated to the point of no return. You will never know what hit you and it's absolutely FREE. Come one, come all, get on board the Hillary Plan.

This ad in no way depicts nonfiction, any resemblance to Hillary care is completely by design. The democratic party supports this ad and all of Libsticker Productions.

1) True.
2) Do you have any idea of what plan Clinton modeled hers after? There ARE fundamental differences, though. Look into it and know what you're spouting off about.
3) Voters should D*MN WELL care!!! YOU should care!
4) See #2

The government has no business running healthcare...the reason the system is screwed up is because of government overinvolvement already. My proposal...get the government out of the social welfare business.

There is no doubt that the cost of heath care is out of sight. Who is going to pay for her plan. Studies have been done and have shown taxes would need to be increased between 45 to 55 percent. If you had ever visited a country where medical coverage is covered by the government, (Canada, England) you will find long waits to see doctors, filled hospitals, and staffs that are "worked to the bone" Doctors in the US give up twelve to fifteen years of their life training to be in their profession. Are you or someone else going to tell them, "Sorry you can only make $20.00 an hour. What needs to be done I don't know, and I don't think Hillary does either.

Please explain why any time there is a tiny problem out there people immediatly think that the best thing to do is create some gigantic friggin government bureaucracy to do things for us that the market is already taking care of?

People are not dying in the streets! Most people are healthy, and recieving the medical care they need! And America has the best medical care in the entire world... why screw with a system that's working? Less than 15% of the population of the country is doing without health insurance... and many of these people can be counted among people who simply do not want health insurance, or have a moral objection against insurance! Who are you to tell these people that they must buy health insurance.

The government DOES NOT NEED TO PROVIDE EVERYTHING FOR US! The market is doing a great job right now of providing health insurance for the vast majority of the population of the United States... and it would do a much better job if the government would reduce its role in regulating and controling healthcare.

Here is the alternative... don't socalize medicine! Simple... it's not necessary to have the government provide everything we need! If you admit to the logic we have a "right" to everything we need, then this line of thinking can never end.

No, I will not "resign myself" to the stupid socialist idea that the government needs to provide everything for me... stay out of my life government...
