Separated for 5 mos now, husband doesn't care, planning to take kids overseas w/me need support/advice?

I have previously posted this http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;... about the same subject but re-worded the question to hopefully get more responses. So please click the link and read it.

I feel like I'm making a good and positive move. What do I have to look out for...my dad asked if my husband even wanted the children and i said no, b/c he's not even fighting for them.

And again I'm not doing this out of vengeance. Please read my entire post from that link and you'll get what my purpose is.

Thanks.

I think you have a great opportunity to go overseas and go back to school and move on with your life. I agree that if you husband wanted the kids he would make more of an effort. go overseas but keep lines of communication open, allow him to see the children if he so wishes. I know its hard but it sounds like you have a good head on your shoulders and maybe once he realizes that you and his kids are gone he will step up.

go for it and good luck.. hope your happy. there

If you are planning to take the children overseas then make sure you get it in writting from him that its ok. Otherwise you may find yourself in a lot of trouble.

Also if your ex doesn't want to sign the papers, speak to a lawyer and make sure that you do everything necessary to ensure that he at least has them (and you can prove it)

you need to do what you feel is right for your children and you. If he isn't that involved with you and your children than you shouldnt care what he thinks. maybe you should think it over thoroughly because moving overseas is a very big decision.

Good Luck!
