Why can't our government have free medical care for the elderly and the poor?

It could if it would follow the lead of some of the other countries that have done it with success, and of course there is all this ridiculous spending...we should have medical care for all it's a basic human right.

My opinion.... If it's too much hassle, some won't apply for it. It also makes the ones who need it feel like they are less than others and have to beg for help.
It keeps the poor and elderly in line and reminds them where they fit in the scheme of things.
The government does not put the poor and elderly as a top priority and they show it with all the cuts they keep asking for in medical coverage for them. I think they just made some changes that make the poor and elderly pay out more for copayments. ( at least in my state they did )

Keep that question in mind the next time you vote.

The Senate and Congress are too busy fussing over more raises for themselves. I feel they don't care about Insurance for our Government, for those who need it most. Those who have to choose between Food on the table, or meds that they CRITICALLY need! This System we have is criminal, at best. Why can other Countries do this effectively, yet, we don't even try? The System SUCKS in my opinion. The whole process is a JOKE! Hey, I vote too, but, nothing changes if nothing changes!

Because I honestly don't think they care!!!!!!!!!!

Consideration of economic parameters, are a must. Thereafter, a pragmatic solution could be worked out.
