Elderly care home for dogs to open in Japan? |
http://uk.news.yahoo.com/rtrs/20070614/t... I think it's sad that people don't love their dogs enough to look after them in their old age. Dogs are loyal and loving to their owners all their lives and don't deserve to be thrown away when it's a little more work to look after them. My dogs will be with me until the day they die, whatever care they need. Wow what will they think of next... it seems like an odd thing to do but after reading the article i think it's a great kind thing Japan can do for their older dogs. Thats awsome. That is fantastic. Japan does seem more advanced in some ways than the US. Hopefully we will take their lead and do something for our elderly dogs. Surely it will be very confusing for the old dogs who have been in their owners company for the best part of their lives to be moved to a strange environment. Dogs, by their nature, don't want to be separated from their owners. I certainly would not send my dog to a care home: it is until death do us part, either mine or his. Therefore I think it is a totally unfeeling and stupid idea. |
