Question for nurses, emergency workers, doctors? |
what is the most common type of underwear you see among patients? its not something that we look at usually, we are more concerned with treating the patient and don't really care what they are wearing. i did see some nice pink spotty boxers the other day though. i usually dont see any! good question.... I rarely have them undressed. Even then, assistant gowns them before I go in lol... This is something I only remember if asked by someone like you. It's a non-issue. I'm more focused on the skin integrity in that area. |

A lot depends on where you are. Most places have a nursing shortage and because of that some ERs are hiring new grads right out of nursing school. Now nursing school can take as little as 2 years, ... Or ge... You would think it would be to see to the patients emergency. But from Ive seen its to sit and joke with the other nurses, interns, and staff. But what Ive learned while in class it is to triag... $0.00 ...well, i am an emergency room doctor..Before we discuss the roles in the emergency room, how about we have a chit chat in my room, and your duties towards me...... now sit down,,,,or better...kne... As a adult you have the right to refuse medical attention @ any given time. Please be aware that if your in E.R. your probably there for a reason, so I don't know why you would want to refuse ... Seeing that you are already a Nurse and you just want to move to a different department. I would ask if there is anything that is expected of you that is not within the job description.
