Need help on possible careers.? |
I need help on possible career options. I am starting to see that most careers in our society are centered around these work settings: We live in a 9-5 world, numbers world, a desk world, paperwork world, and a business world. I am the exact opposite which is why I struggle with jobs! I am a night person, physical person, words person, dirty work person, and humanisitic person. Being an accountant or businessperson would kill me inside. I would die if i ever had to sit in a office cubicle and do the 9-5 routine and do paperwork and work with calculations all day. I dont know how my business friends do it. I wouldnt be using any of my own talents. I have listed some good careers for me: Cop, Nurse, Flight attendant, Bellhop, and Actor. Can you think of other careers that would utilize my strengths. I like working at night, working with people, writing, being on my feet, and being physical. Any suggestions would help. try signing up with the peace core they will send you around the world to help other people and get you to do stuff that Ur good at and like doing. it could very well help you find out what you want to do. Receptionist in a hotel might be a solution.I did it for a while and there are some points that match with your requirements right now...being in the medical field might be your best decision. you will have the most options and don't have to worry about your job being sent to india. there will always be sick people and if you went into nursing...the possibilities are endless. no matter where you go..you will always find a job..and you could work the nightshift...those positions are always open. i know..i am one and i make great money and have never been turned down for a job...even after moving to two different states. my husband who works in the corporate world feels stuck and it was alot harder for him to find a job. good luck Be a farm, the world is running out of them, we need more. Sure your kids will hate it when they are small but will love it when they get older. http://www.baseops.net/militarybooks/gre... How about Public Relations at a resort or large Hotel/Casino? You don't say whether or not you have a degree or are willing to go to school to get one. That would greatly open up your options for a good job that you like. |
