Can someone in the medical field give me suggestions as to a job that's in high demand. Not nursing!!?

I have a pre-nursing major currently but that's not truley what I want. I was thin king forensic pathologist but that might take me forever. How about an OBGYN or something else with dead people? Help me please.

Depends how long you want to go to school. Anything in health care that requires an advanced degree is in high demand. Pharmacy is very well paying over $100,000/yr but doesn't take quite as long as a dr. It's a PhD so it's more like 7 years without a residency. Some lower level degrees are respiratory therapy and x-ray/ultrasound they're more in the $45,000/year range. Why not nursing, there are so many different opportunities with a BSN they aren't all clinical, like management. You can also become a nurse anesthetist with a master degree and work in the OR and make over $100,000/yr.

anything in forensics is in high demand. Currently dental hygenists are also in high demand.

any kind of doctor is always in demand. also, it takes the roughly the same amount of time to become OBGYN as it takes to be a forensic pathologist - about 13 years. 4 years BA, 4 years med school, 4-5 more years residency. this goes for any type of specialists. if you don't want to study that long opt for becoming a GP/family doctor which doesn't require the extra five years of residency. what ever you choose, go for it because you love it - its going to be your career for many many years to come!

Surgical technicians are in very high demand .
Hope this helps.
Good luck with what ever you decide to do

An OB-GYN doesn't work with dead people, they work with women's reproductive systems and deliver babies.

Any MD program is "in demand".

MD's are self-employed, so it's all what you make of it.

medical doctors are in demand, especially with the brain drain of md's taking up nursing.
maybe u can take up some more units to be able to qualify into med school. med school is 4 years, internship is 1 year, residency depends on the specialty you want (surgery 5, ob 4, pedia 3, medicine 3, etc). it depends on you if you still want to specialize after. that can be 2-3 years long.
