I asked a nurse in hospital that does the tests for?

hiv, and stds if i will have to show symptoms or breakouts of especially warts and herpes and she said no u dont have to. the test still test positive or negative with or without them. is she right?

Yes...she is right. You can carry warts or herpes for years with no breakouts. I do not believe there is a test for warts but the blood test for Herpes will tell you if you have it or not whether or not you have ever had a breakout.

I would like to recommend the following website for information on both herpes and warts.

It answers so many questions and is laid out in a way that is easy to understand and maneuver through.

Yes, some people will go for many years before, or at all, showing signs of the disease.

yah trick

She's the expert!

We're just a bunch of folks WITH STDS who think we know it all because we caught something

I agree with Tori. If you are in doubt, get the tests. That is the only definitive way to know sometimes as you may or may not exhibit the symptoms. One thing to remember about Herpes is that it is spread by skin contact so using a condom may not protect you. This is a common misconception among young adults.

I have never had an outbreak of Herpes. The only way I knew I had it was because I took the blood test (twice).
