For doctors or nurses. or anyone?

i went last week to get an hiv test. i called today to get my results and they told me i needed to see the doctor. i asked the nurse if it was "bad" and she told me "its in between" i then told her i knew she couldnt tell me but if i could speak to my doctor over the phone. she told me that i just need to come in because ill have questions. has anyone ever had this happen to them? im worried i know nurses cant tell u results but what could she have meant "in between" ?????

At a guess I would say that you are clear for AIDS/HIV but the results found something else. Put in a complaint about the nurse but, she shouldnt have said that.

hum don't know ...truthfully i would be worried and then i would tell the doctor about this nurse because thats the worst i would either want then to tell me either everything on nothing at all its worst to wonder?! CALL AND MAKE AN APPOINTMENT IMMEDIATLY TO SEE YOUR DOCTOR

It could mean that you tested positive but don't have aids. She shouldn't have even told you that. A doctor is supposed to give you the results and no one else. So go to the doctor, find out the results and let him know what his nurse told you.

If she said to you "its in between" she should be fired. That makes no sense at all. Seriously, you should write a letter to the practice manager or clinic director.
Most (if not all) clinics have a policy that they will not disclose results of HIV tests over the phone, you have to come in even if they know it's negative.
She sounds like a freak. It's either positive or negative, there's no in between. Maybe they weren't able to get a result and they have to repeat it. That's the only thing I can think of.
