How long does it take to get the results on an HIV test? |
I go for a test tomorrow. I have been with ONE person ONE time over a year ago who I didn't know was safe or not. she said she was and she is a nurse. I am never sick, never was, and I'm totally healthy as far as a person can tell about themselves. I'm taking the test due to a police application. I've never had any rashes or sweats at nights etc... any opinions / extra info is welcome. My wife does HIV testing. Her office gets results in 2 or 3 business days most of the time. Takes 1-2 weeks you have to go back in person to get results. There is a swab out now that can get you results in just 30 minutes but it's most often offered at HIV outreach centers. Usually you get a longer wait swab that takes about 1-2 weeks like your other answer said. If it is a blood test I would say it depends on the lab. Two weeks. 7-10 business days is how long mine took. No HIV/AIDS in my case. Hope the same for you...good luck! |
