Can you get AIDS/HIV by not having sex or sharing needles? |
like through saliva, kissing, toilet seats, working at a nursing home or hospital or other ways? BY NOT SHARING NEEDLES THAT SHOULD BE You can not contract HIV AIDS through saliva, kissing, toilet seats or any other casual behavior. You must have blood or secretion to blood contact in order to contract the virus. These are the fluids that are infected when a person tests positive. Blood, semen, vaginal secretions and breast-milk. That's it! If you have not come in contact with these fluids through sexual contact an open wound or IV drug use you are fine. I work with infected patients daily for many years and I am still negative and I know people who have been living with someone positive for over 10 years and they are still negative. I hope this answered your question. Good luck and be safe always use a condom during sex oral or otherwise!!!! yeah but other ways are far less common, mainly sex, sharing needles, and a small number from blood transfusions (much much more common in the 80s and 90s, dont think it happens much anymore) you can get it from saliva kissing or toitlet seats unless there is blood. there have been a few instances of healthcare people getting it from work but its not common. no, if you sharing blood from other people. HIV is transmitted by blood, semen, or vaginal secretions. you can get it by sex, oral sex, anal sex, sharing needles, or if infected blood directly entered a cut or wound. HIV is sometimes present in saliva but you would literally have to drink a couple gallons (eww!). kissing should not be a problem in other words. as for the hospital part, be sure to always wear gloves when dealing with bodily fluids, blood, or needles. You can't get HIV by kissing, toilet seats, drinking after somone. you can by sharing needles, having unprotected sex, exchanging body fluids, in hospitals , or nursing homes, by not using proper proceadures such as using gloves to do a proceadure. you can get Aids from working at nursing home and hospital and you take someones blood who has Aids, and you prick your self with that same needle. Yes but blood transfusion & breast feeding |
