A pregnant woman who is infected with HIV can pass the virus to her baby?

a. while nursing
b. during childbirth
c. during pregnancy
d. all of the above

b. during childbirth

(from mother to infant around the time of birth and through breastfeeding)

d. all of the above.

a+b

a. while nursing

d. all of the above. It is important for a pregnant AIDS patient to get the antiviral medicine so she decreases the chance of passing it to her baby. The early studies were so impressive, that the study was stopped and it became mandatory to test and treat all pregnant women for HIV.
Taking the antiviral medicines cannot prevent transmission 100% but can substantially lower the risk of infection in the newborn. Breastmilk carries the viral particles, so, it, too, can transmit HIV/AIDS to the baby.
Yes, transmission to the baby via the placenta, blood during delivery, or milk from breast milk.

d however if shes put on treatment before childbirth and also get a jab as soon as she starts labour and ofcourse doesnt breastfeed chances are reduced

she can in d all but not always there are exceptions

all of the above

d. all of the above, exept if they do what they call these days, a bloodless birth;which is somehow done by cecerian.
