How immediate does hiv symtpoms start showing? |
My friend had an abusive mum who enjoys scratching her face beating her up. the last time i saw her she was bleeding and stuff. i really wanted to follow her to have her hiv test done, i don't think she needs it, she went on her on, she told me she strated crying real bad and wasn't sure if the nurse used clean needles or not..so my question is if she did how long would the symptoms start to show..thank you She is not going to get HIV from her from getting beat up and scratched. The nurse would of course used new needles on her. They dispose of needles after each patient. Each patient gets a brand new needle never before opened. I use to draw blood and I know this for sure, worked in Dr's offices, hospitals and clinics. Did this for over 13 years so I know what I am talking about. How naive are you. Anyway it could take as long as 10 years or more to show up. within 1 and a half years or a decade. It would take a long time. The timeline varies quite a bit from person to person. It can be YEARS before a person starts to have any symptoms. it can take up to 6 months before showing in a test, but why is she not sure if the nurse used clean needles or not? nurses always use clean needles as far as I know (I'm a registered nurse in the Netherlands) It really takes a lady longer to find out than it would take a man to. So its just best for her to just go to the doctor. |
