Herpes/hiv? |
ive asked questions but want more answers okay i know that HIV has a very low chance of getting it if you and your partner have only messed around with each other i know that it is RARE but a while back i thought i had a cold sore and me and my boyfrined messed around i gave him oral and then we had sex but we didnt have a condem and i got nervous so he stuck it in then back out because i didnt want to BUT then he gave oral so i am wondering if we could have contracted HIV somehow from that? I've been to the doctor and told him my story and him and the nurse seem to think that we could of contracted herpes but the chance of HIV is low do you agree with him or should i be worried I do get paranoid VERY easy! so this might be silly to some of you i dont know im just worried! ALSO i dont know if i mentioned me and my partner are in love no other partners never shared needles anything like that! I'm not sure exactly what your question is but it seems like you are under the assumption that the herpes virus is the same as HIV? (From the mention of your cold sore and then switching to possibly contracting HIV) the doctor is the medic whilst it isnt impossible, it is highly unlikely so waity for conformation from the doctor its really not likely, calm down Alright, the worst thing to do now is panic...Order a blood test, vaginal and mouth/throat smear (these are used to test for HIV/herpes and other STD's) known as STD screening. The earlier you treat these things the better. There are tests for both diseases, so get tested, both of you. It is more likely to be Herpes than HIV, unless one of you is high-risk (many partners, sharing needles, etc..). Herpes has no cure and is miserable, I have it. It can be controlled with daily medication or treated per outbreak. Good luck. Don't panic. First of all, USE PUNCTUATION so we can actually read your posts. Then try using the spell check! then repost this godawful mess! HIV requires bodily fluid to be exchanged, seemen and vaginal secretion, or something to that sort. A rapid HIV test, approximately 3 months after your hi-risk behavior can tell you in 20 minutes. One of you must be a carrier - if you are your partners first sexual contact and visa versa, then you are probably OK. If you and him have never been sexually active with anyone else and have never used IV drugs...then there is nothing to worry about. YOU CANNOT GET HIV FROM HERPES. end of story, the two are unrelated viruses. well first things is find out if what you had was a cold sore or what. If you get cold sores than its probably a cold sore. and if you sucked penis than you probably gave your partner genital herpes ...than he gave you genital herpes. So congratulations. And if your partner has hiv yes you could have gotten infected as well if you swallowed semen. You probably don't have HIV, however, it is easier to get HIV if you have sex with an open sore like Herpes, so don't have sex when you have an herpes outbreak. |
