As a nurse, how can I meet people over the internet with Hiv/Aids , cancers to provide support? |
How can i meet people over the internet perhaps that need counselling or a listening ear or just someone to talk to who have received a health diagnosis and need support? As a nurse, I am even willing to offer my cell # if someone needs to talk- to volunteer my time. You're walking a dangerous line with this idea. God Bless you for being so thoughtful, but you need to think of YOURSELF first. There are a lot of people out there who would use your help, but there are some whack-jobs out there who would LOVE to get your name and number. Additionally, any medical information you give could put you at risk for lawsuit. I would start with Dr's offices that treat the patients. My mother past of Breast Cancer and was going to start something at the hospital for a support to those who battled and battleing. Maybe you should do that, what a fantastic person you are for even thinking of that. I would start at the hospital. Good for you, people like you make this world that much better! THere ar usually forums for people going through that if you go to a doctor's office they won't tell you because of confidentiality so a forum is your best bet. |
