Hiv from herpes?

about 6 months ago or so i thought i had a coldsore i was told time and time again that it was just cracked lips but me and my boyfriend were messing around more than usual and i gave him oral sex then he stuck his penis in me but took it out right away. then he started to give me oral sex its been 6 months no signs of anything genital or anything like that but it bothered me so much i went to the doctor and talked to him about it because i began to worry about possibly somehow getting hiv i have never heard of getting hiv from herpes and the nurse tried to keep telling me that im not going to get it from herpes, but it constantly still bothers me what do you think

You can't contract an STI from another STI, only from someone that has that other one. So the answer to your question is no, you can't get HIV from having herpes. However having herpes makes you more susceptible to any STI. Unless one of your partners, your mother, or someone who has blood, breast milk, semen, or vaginal fluids you've come into contact with has HIV, you don't have it. Get tested simply because its good to be 100% worry-free.

i dont think you can get HIV from herpes....although you will be at greater risk for catching other STD's

no the possablility is low that u can't get hiv from herpes. if your bf desn't have any of those then u would be ok. but if he had a cold sore at the time (which is a form of herpes) and he gave u oral sex u could get herpes. i would think the only way u could get hiv while having herpes is if u had herpes and had sex with someone who had hiv while u had an outbreak and they got some fluid in the blisters or sores.

Don鈥檛 too worry about it. I have never heard of it that HIV can be got from herpes. You must be some nervous or you have some other problems. I had ever the same worry with you. But after I joined in the positivesingles.com, it鈥檚 cleared. If you fell not comfortable continuously, you can go to ask or consult some experts or experienced men in it.
