I have Acrylic nails and ripped of my Thumb nail on accident Saturday afternoon, hurts like hell, can you help? |
I went to the ER and the doc lifted the nail to see how far it ripped, it ripped pretty far to the back but is still attached to the back. It was bleeding pretty bad, and discharged clear fluid. The nurse wrapped it up to prevent any more damage, they gave me stuff so I can replace the band aid and clean it. It still hurts like hell!!! And i feel it throbbing, is that normal? Sorry about your accident. The pain will go away, you'll just have to be patient and keep checking the thumb with your doctor to make sure it doesn't get infected. And stop using acrylic nails, you can have natural great looking nails too without a great deal of work. I had the same happen to me about 5 years ago they removed the nail so i wouldn't get infection.the used benzocain not injections at my request. usually a nail will not re attache. it may be getting infected you should check with your Dr. mine only throbbed for 1 day after the nail was removed. hope this helps |
