I cut my foot on a piece of glass, it's bleedy a LOT, should I be worried?

Is there any artieres in your foot? What if you cut a vein what happens? I cut it on the side of the ball of my foot, I think I got the glass out. Any nurse answers will be greatly appricated. It was gushing like a river! Now that I have a band aid on it it seems to have slowed.

I'm not a nurse but my mom is. I don't believe there is anything to worry about on that part of your foot. If it has slowed down at all then you should be okay. If it's deep though you need to butterfly stitch it. It's basically using a type of band-aid to pull the cut together. Make sure you clean it out really well with an antiseptic. Peroxide is okay but don't use it too often or it will slow the healing process.

You should go see a doctor if:
1) the bleeding does not stop
2) there is uneven swelling (possibly residue)
3) swelling doesn't shrink in 1-2 days

if the bleeding stops then not to worry, if not consult a surgeon

Just spray some Windex on it, and wrap it with adhesive tape, and change it every day...You'll be fine...

First, is the bleeding slow and steady, or fast and uneven?
Fast would indicate you've nicked a major blood vessel (artery or vein) but if it's slow:
1) Wash it thoroughly with soap and water.
2) Disinfect it with alcohol, betadine or peroxide
3) If there is no skin missing, cut a piece from a new, unused sandwich bag about 5mm larger on each edge than the cut. Run a bead of superglue on each side of the cut, and one (very thin) bead in the cut, then press the plastic over the cut. This will seal it up.
The amount of cyanide in cyanoacrylate is nowhere near the point of toxicity, and your body will push the glue out as it heals. The oils in your skin will also cause the plastic to turn loose in a few days.
