Finiancial Disabled depressed. An my Social Worker advise does not seem like a good idea.?

Do to depression I have a social worker whom now seems more and demanding. She stops by checks out my house my kids etc. Last week she said that maybe I should go be a home health aid. Yes this is a solution. Grab a job, with health benefits, pay is 9 an hour. How the heck am I going to take a job like that when I have a prentive case with Acs. No car and no way of getting to my clients house. I know that millions of immigrants do whatever it takes to get by everyday. But for some reason it feels right yet wrong at the same time.
I truly am not that ooff.. she also agrees Kids are taken care. But we are really poor.

From there I can get my Nurse Aide license union benefits and take care of my kids.
Anyway the more I think about it my spirits improve. Yet i am not sure about the who;e taking care of the lederly whom cannot make it lavatory on there own...bit.

But I still find it odd that she would think of a person like me for such a demanding job.

Perhaps there is an underlying reason that you avoid taking the job? If you were able to solve the problems of transportation, etc., you could focus on the job itself and not the barriers to it.

It may also be that you aren't giving yourself enough credit for your abilities. If your depression is being professionally treated and it is under control to the point that you could work, a demanding job can work wonders not just for the income and benefits, but your self-esteem as well.

Try to remove the barriers to the job and consider rethinking what you're capable of. No one can hold you back but you.

you have to do whats best for you and as for the social workers some of them think they know best just a shame there mostly text booked trained rather than hands on good luck with what ever you have to face xx
