Is this a boil? |
Alright, I have this small, hard-ish lump on the outside of my wrist. I'm not sure how long I've had it, but when I looked at it a few weeks ago, it was just a little raised bump. A few hours ago it started to annoy me so I broke out the tweezers and started to mess with it. Probably a bad idea, but anyway... The first time, a whiteish pus-like substance came out, but anytime after that has just been clear fluid in miniscule amounts. Could be a spider bite....especially if there is "two" white dots. They just sit there for weeks, if not over a month without healing, and pus comes out almost stringy white. i had a staph infection and all my boils came up quick and irriating with in 24 hours not two weeks - and my puss was green - from infection - it may be a wart or blister ( hopefully) Sounds like a boil. Maybe an infected hair follicle. Best to check it out though. Might have been a bug bite too. If it is red & inflammed, best to have someone take a look at it. My guess is an infected hair follicle. I get them from time to time. Definitely not a good idea to pick at them, but I for one can never resist. I find that a warm, wet washcloth will help the swelling go down. Don't worry about it, though. It's not really a big deal. It should heal soon. |
