I just had a mole removed and I do not know when to take the band aid off.. Help??

The mole was on my breast.. the doc said to leave the band aid on and let it scab up. but i feel that i should wash it with soap.. my moms a nurse and she said not to wash it? I have neosporin on it with a band aid... should i leave it dry? not wash it? Help?

I just had a mole removed from my face. My directions were:
Leave the dressing on it the first day.

2nd day and beyond wash the area lightly with soap and water, then cover with polysporin and bandaid.

I have to keep my covered for almost a week since they were on my face. The longer you keep it cover and with polysporin the less likely it is to scar. By the end of a week it should pretty well be scabbed over and ready to be left alone to heal.

call the doctor

I'd leave it on until it naturally falls off. Don't wash it, but it should stick through the water of a shower. The neosporin will keep the wound protected and germ-free. When it falls off in a day or two you should have a nice protective scab. If not, put on a new band-aid.

I had a mole on my neck and it hurt the dr told me to take the band aid off when it started to get irritating or thought i would be right to, it will hurt and feel weird but if u wanna take it off do that just make sure that ur bra or shirt isnt going to rud on it because it could become seriously infected and u dont want that in the location it is on your body

one full day is enough. considering that there are no stitches, remove the band and apply neosporin on it. do not cover it. keep the area dry for about two days.
