What university should I transfer to ohio state or Indiana university for fall 2008! Need opinions and advice!

im still tring to debate weather I should go to Ohio state or Indiana University as a transfer student. I have to pay out of state cost which is expensive xompared to my in state cost which is michigan. How would I go about paying the tuition and room and board. I barely get financial aid but still hoping I can get money to attend one of these good universities. Im trying to transfer in the fall of 2008. What are your opinions and thoughts!!! Also im going into the nursing major and almost done with my prerequisites!!

It depends, both colleges are top rate, IU has a bit of an edge being that it has been on the state books (getting state money) longer than Oh St, therefore has been able to pretty much own the city its located in and spend money like a drunk sailor.

You mentioned nursing, if you KNOW FOR A FACT, that is what you want to be, either an RN, Nurse Pract, or whatnot then Oh St is ideal. However, if you plan to specialize your nursing degree in anything but Geriatrics and Pediatrics, then IU is for you. If Geriatrics and Pediatrics is your thing, Oh St is better.

If you plan to use Nursing and wish to go in the business sector IU is the best by far. Things like: Drug Rep, Med Supply Rep, Med Services Rep, and Hosp Admin, are the business side of Nursing.

I'm partial because my son is a senior in the engineering program at OSU - and he has had a great time while getting a fantastic education! For such a huge school he has received a lot of personal attention, and he is just an average student.

But - I would recommend that you visit both schools. They are both excellent. Also, since it will be difficult for you financially, I would apply to both and then find out which school offers you any money.

You probably already know this but you will have to fill out the FAFSA, financial aid something something something. That can be done on the internet and then you can have copies sent to both schools.
