My wife works as nursing aid they been having her work a male nurses assignment,knowing she is 23wk.pregnant?


If she miscarries will they be libel one of her coworkers has already miscarried due to the heavy work load?

Her employeer knows she is pregnant they just let her come back to work after DR. lifted restrictions.

Technically that is what a big part of my job consists of.

Have her notify her OB about the type of work she does and the OB should not only put her on weight restrictions (mine is 20 pounds lifting) but on time restrictions as well (she does not want me working my normal 12.5 hour shift).

The only thing that stinks about the whole situation is that as a tech it is impossible to do your job and completly follow the restrictions. Just have her get the doctors note and try her best.

She has to do what is best for herself and your baby. Her coworkers, if they are aware of the situation, usually pitch in and start helping with transfers, beds, baths and such.

They can't ignore her doctors orders... take it to a higher manager and document everything.

Are her employers aware that she's pregnant or is she really good at hiding it? This far along the pregnancy is pretty viable and she may be ok but she should talk to her supervisor.

Has she told them the work load is to heavy ....if so and they don't care , tell her to go see her doctor and get a note. They can't go against a doctor note.

I would think, but I am not sure. If it does happen I guess you could try a lawsuit against them, but again I am not sure.

Unless they receive doctor restrictions BEFORE hand they have no reason to change her job duties. They do not have to make special arrangements for anyone being pregnant.. UNLESS it is a doctor order.
