People of all faiths, please join me for this? |
I work at a hospital as a porter (someone who collects trays and works in the dishroom) and tonight I had to collect from rooms in the ICU (Intensive Care Unit) and CCU (Central Care Unit). for atheists- i respect your beliefs, but please, do not post answers on a question that doesn't pertain to you. It will be an honor to pray for the people that are suffering. You are such a caring person. I will pray for you and those who are in pain, also for their family's. I know first hand how suffering can effect someone. I have a daughter that is in pain all the time. I am so glad that you are such a loving christian person. We need more people out there like you. I will pray that the Lord brings joy to your heart also. I will also pray for those tending to the poor sick and painful people . May the Lord ease their pain and suffering. God bless you for asking for prayers. We are all out to help you through your trying job. May the Lord be with you and those that are suffering. God help you all. Will do. I would just like to say thank you for having such a caring heart. Ok we will do it I'll pray with you. Amen! Joining you in that prayer. I see it every day & always send them light Indeed. My own mother passed away just six months ago, so I know what you mean about the hospice especially. I will pray for them and for you too - I am so thankful there are caring, loving, empathetic people like you around. i'm with u on this I was once one of those patients hooked up to the machines pressing the morphine button... I know. I will pray. It breaks my heart all those that suffer. For whatever reason. Suffering sucks. How do you stay strong? i will light a candle for them, and include them in ritual at our healing circle next week. I've seen enough of life to know what your talking about. I will join you. I don't really do it that often, but my moms also works at a hospital and I know what your definatly talking about. But I really never get that sad anymore. To keep people from being sad to i will join you. But please try and cheer up. It's the holidays. It's a time for joy. If you smile and feel joy other people will too. This time last year, I was in ICU 24/7 with my younger brother. He was taken off life support after 8 days for the transplant team to still be able to harvest. I will. And I'll pray for you too, Glad to see there are people who care. Oh Hon, What a powerful testimony you have to offer the world. You make me glad to be part of the human race. I would be honored to add my prayers to everyone else's. What a wonderful place to be and see the needs as you serve the Lord Christ and can intercede on their behalf~ surely you are there in behalf of Jesus and the Holy Spirit can give you the right words for each and every situation Thank you....and I will. I have a sister who works in pediatric ICU...and it is terribly sad all year...but especially now. No. I appreciate your concern and kind-heart for the suffering people in Hospitals. That is a beautiful thought. Remember that some of those recieving treatment will get better, thanks to the hard-working people who care for them. I know its hard, but you are so kind to do the work that you do. The only way for any person to go to heaven is for them to believe that Jesus, who is God, died for our sins on the cross and rose again. Praying is absolutely worthless, it may have a symbolic meaning but does nothing. I'll hope that they get through it okay. I think that some of the people in there might actually want to die. They might be living with something that causes them extreme pain. I wouldn't want to live with pain like that. I wouldn't want to be hooked up with a machine. In fact, I wouldn't mind dieing tomorrow. Dieing isn't a bad concept to me, its just where my conscious life ends, and I hope to rot in the ground (no embalming fluids, no casket etc. Just a natural burial, I want to give back) It really depends on the situation that they are in. If they want to die, I hope they die. If they want to live, I hope they live. I refuse. I don't even have a faith. I would willingly share sympathy for those in the ICU and CCU, and their families, but I disagree with the fake hope that religion instills into those near death. It makes me think of religion as just a crutch for the handicap to lean upon, whether their infliction be physical, mental, or emotional. |
