Christians, how many times have you visited?

Christians, how many times in the past six months have you visited a hospital, nursing home or hospice as part of a church program or activity to bring hope and company to the sick and dying?

Thank you for asking this question. As an Agnostic with a heavy altruistic slant, I find myself preaching the word but sometimes don't live up to my own expectations of what's important to me.

Time to re-arrange my schedule! :)

Only a couple...

I dont go to church, therefore Im on my own when it comes to giving to my community, I simply ask god for opportunities...

But I could always do more, couldnt we all?

yeah, instead of being here all the time, "spreading the word". when there are people right now needing someone to comfort them in their last hours

Why are you asking this question twice? Don't you lose points doing that?

I am visiting one just now, sis, if you know what I mean..

we visit regular....hold 2 nursing home services weekly.....also rescue missions, shelters......

all to give the gospel

I volunteer at a shelter on a weekly basis.

that is a part of our ministry along with a benevolence center I also take them time to find people who are lonely and try to brighten their days by sending cards flowers or being company to them just you know different things for different peoples needs hospice is really hard if the person doesn't have inner peace . And knowing that no matter what satan does to our body here on earth God knows we will live eternally is peace this world is not our home.........people forget that.

I don't think it is a must to visit hospital, nursing home or hospice. Those christian who have the calling for this will do so freely as their unique ministry also. Yes every Christian must be a moral responsible person but to each calling God has called us. It takes all kinds of personalities to be used by God in the ministry. So its by choice.
