What are you doing on Thanksgiving? |
I am going to have my Thanksgiving dinner with my former Hospice patient (she is no longer under Hospice care) in the nursing home where she lives. I am a volunteer for a local Hospice agency. I don't have any family but I did receive a few dinner inviations but I turned them all down so I could spend time with my lady friend in the nursing home. I figure all the friends I have won't be as appreciative as my little lady will be by me spending time with her on a major holiday. She is 93 years old and who knows who long she will be around? I think that is really sweet of you also because I have worked in a Nursing home. I know how some residents don't have family at all and I think that is so sad. Sometimes I wish I could take some home. I will be spending Thanksgiving with my family. that is really sweet of you! im sure she will really love you for it!!! my husband and i are getting together with a few other couples from his co. for thanksgiving since none of us can afford to go home for the holiday I will be helping my Mom cook the dinner . Me, my sibs and my aunt, uncle, and cousins are having Thanksgiving in Nashville, where my aunt+uncle live. My grandparents will be there too, it's the heart of our family. I lived there when I was born until I was two, then to Boston, then California. |
